I live in Portland, Oregon, where I'm an orthopedic physical therapist. I hold a doctorate degree from the University of Iowa in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science. I also earned an bachelor's degree from Iowa State University in Kinesiology and Health. When I was working on my undergraduate degree, I tutored college athletes in subjects that included Physiology and Anatomy. These are two of my favorite subjects. I find that these subjects need to be given to students very clearly in accessible ways. The understanding of these subjects can lead to work in many different careers. I use the knowledge of these subjects every day as I work with and teach my patients ways to improve their lives. I enjoy teaching students and helping them succeed in their own academic goals in science, anatomy, and physiology as well as helping them prepare for their career goals! In my free time, I enjoy hiking with my dog and cooking with my wife.
