Education
I graduated from Harvard in 2016 and entered Harvard Medical School in 2018. I am pursuing a non-traditional MD-PhD and am currently a PhD student at the University of Iowa in the History department. In medical school I was a pre-med "resident tutor" on Harvard's undergrad campus, advising students who were potentially interested in going to medical school. I benefitted from this advising system when I was an undergraduate student, being admitted to many of the nation's top medical schools, including Harvard, Stanford, Duke, UCLA, UCSF, and the University of Pennsylvania.
Experience
I am interested in helping students with medical school applications, college applications, study skills, exam prep, and subject tutoring. I have 4 years experience advising pre-med college students; this included, but was not limited to, advising students on course selection, MCAT prep scheduling, medical school selection, and application essay revision and editing. I also have 2 years of experience of teaching marine science material to K-12 students and 4 years of experience competing in the National Ocean Sciences Bowl (in high school). In high school I was a National AP Scholar and took both AP and IB courses at my high school. I have extensive experience critiquing and revising essays.
