Education

I am a fifth year Mathematics Education Major student at the University of Iowa. I have finished all of the necessary math classes to graduate with a Mathematics Degree, but will not graduate until after I student teach at West Liberty High School during the Fall Semester of 2016. By taking an extra semester to student teach I will graduate with a Mathematics Degree and and a Teaching Degree.

Experience

I have worked with middle and high school students inside the classroom as part of my curriculum for the University of Iowa. Aside from being in the classroom, I have personally tutored many of these students before and after school. Specifically, I have volunteered tutoring at West High School and North Central Middle School. Through completing each of the necessary mathematics classes that are required at Iowa, I feel as though I am well prepared to tutor any relevant mathematical subject. Overall I got a 29 on my ACT; however, I got a 32 on the math portion. I have a passion for teaching and tutoring students because I want to help make a difference in the student's lives. Also, I was a member of the Mathematics Club at the University of Iowa.

I have always been an active and energetic person. I love to be outside doing various outdoor activities. In high school, I was a 3 sport varsity athlete and continue to play intramural football, basketball, and other sports. I am personable and enjoy being around people as much as possible. When I am not studying or working, I love to socialize with my friends.
